Emergency crews rescue construction worker from 25-foot holePosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Emergency crews were called out to a trench rescue in the area of 19th Avenue and Happy Valley Road a little before 10 a.m. Wednesday.
A 23-year-old construction worker fell down a 25-foot hole that was not shored up, according the Phoenix Fire Department.
The man was conscious and talking.
Phoenix fire Capt. Courtney Jenkins said the worker had some pain to his shoulder and a little difficulty breathing.
He was pulled out of the trench a little before noon.
He is being treated for his injuries.
