One hurt in single-vehicle rollover on I-17 at Carefree HighwayPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- One person was injured in a single-vehicle rollover on southbound Interstate 17 south of the Carefree Highway Thursday morning.
It happened just before 7:30 a.m.
According to a dispatcher for the Phoenix Fire Department, the driver of the pickup truck was thrown from the vehicle when it rolled.
The extent of that person's injuries was not immediately known, but he or she reportedly was air-lifted to the hospital.
The southbound lanes were blocked for a time while DPS investigated and the medical helicopter landed. Those lanes have since re-opened.
