3 Teens arrested in Surprise after vandalism spreePosted: Updated:

SURPRISE - Three Surprise youths were arrested in the early morning hours on Monday, July 28th, 2008, for throwing rocks at homes and cars that left several residences and approximately 18 vehicles damaged in the Sun City Grand community.
Patrol officers responding to the calls of damage, quickly set up a search perimeter in the area, where they observed and stopped the suspect's vehicle after a traffic infraction.Following a brief investigation, the three teens confessed to committing criminal damage to cars and homes in Sun City Grand.
Arrested were James Doyle, age 15, Nicholas Klaus, age 17, and Ryan Hoefflin, age 15, all of Surprise.All three were charged with criminal damage and then released to their parents.Lieutenant John Bacon of the Surprise Police Investigation Division stated that the investigation is ongoing, as calls regarding criminal damage continued to come in to the police throughout the following day.
