PHOENIX -- Wal-Mart's latest expansion plans will hopefully help out Arizona's unemployment rate.


1,300 Wal-Mart jobs coming to AZ - Wal-Mart plans to bring about 1,300 jobs to Arizona in 2009.

The retailer plans to add about a dozen new stores in the state, which means they plan on hiring 1,300 new employees.

Wal-Mart already has 111 stores in Arizona and is the state's largest employer with 32,000 full- and part-time employees.

The company plans on hiring management, pharmacists, human resource managers, cashiers and sales associates.

Wal-Mart will open 150 new stores across the country in the coming year.
