State bill would help protect renters of foreclosing homesPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A state bill set to protect the renters of foreclosing homes is a step closer to becoming a law.
Thousands of families around Arizona are often caught off guard when banks show up at the door of the home they are renting, claiming the owners they are renting from went into foreclosure.
But Tuesday the foreclosure protection bill made its way out of committee with a unanimous vote.
Now, it is headed to the House floor.
