Man robs CVS, claims he left bomb on counterPosted: Updated:
GILBERT -- Gilbert police are investigating a robbery at a CVS pharmacy at Guadalupe and Greenfield roads Monday morning.
Gilbert police Sgt. Mark Marino said the suspect passed a note with demands to the pharmacist and the pharmacist complied.
Marino said as the suspect left the store, he put a bag on the counter and said there was a bomb inside.
The store was evaucated and a bomb squad was called in to check the contents of the bag.
There is no word on what police found, if anything, inside that bag.
The suspect is described as white male, 6 feet tall and 175 pounds. He was wearing black gloves, a black hat, a black vest, and what are believed to be prescription glasses.
