Two pedestrians hit by one car crossing streetPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX - Two people were run over on a busy Valley street.
Police are calling it an unfortunate accident. Two 23-year-old men were trying to beat the traffic by running across the road.
The pedestrians did not make it to the other side of the street before a woman in a white car slammed into both pedestrians.
The incident occured near the intersection of 32nd street and Oak.
Police tell 3TV the driver was not speeding. Officials also say alcohol was not a factor with either the driver or the men who tried to cross the road.
Both pedestrians are listed in serious condition at a local hospital.
