PHOENIX - The P.F. Chang Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon was a success.

azfamily.com's Brittney Shipp participated in the half-marathon. She started her run at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday as hundreds of people lined the marathon course holding signs and offering morale to all the runners.

Volunteers were also on hand to make sure the participants have everything they need to complete their 13.1-mile run.

The marathon traveled through three of the Valley's cities as runners enjoyed live music every mile.

Temperatures were in the mid 60s to 80 degrees as participants made their way through Phoenix, Tempe and Scottsdale.

A finish line party was planned to celebrate all the runners' accomplishments.
