Minivan carrying kids rolls over in Phoenix

PHOENIX -- Phoenix police are investigating a car crash that injured a mother and her three children.

It happened Monday around 8:30 a.m. near 16th Street and Indian school Road.

Police say a minivan was traveling northbound on 16th Street when a red car pulled out in front of it, failed to yield and caused the minivan to roll over.

Three children ranging in age from 4 months to 4 years were properly restrained in the van, but still received non-life threatening injuries. The mother, who was driving, also received non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the red vehicle was not injured.

NewsChopper3 was above the scene as emergency crews worked to get everyone out of the car.
