3 Hurt in head-on crash; Alcohol believed to be factorPosted: Updated:

PRESCOTT - At about 10:25 A.M. Prescott Police responded to a three-car collision in the 3900 block E. Highway 69.
Investigation revealed that a 1992 Jeep Cherokee, driving by 38-year old Prescott Valley resident Francis Smith was driving eastbound on Highway 69 when he drove left of center
and collided head-on with a 2002 Toyota Corolla which was stopped in the W/B left turning lane designated for the Costco entrance.
The Corolla was being driven by 63-year old Linda Burns who was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center East and her passenger, 51-year old Loretta Preston was
transported to YRMC West.Both occupants are Cottonwood residents and were treated for non life-threatening injuries.Due to the impact, the Cherokee pushed the Corolla
backwards into a 2003 Ford ¾ ton pickup driven by 69-year old Dewey resident Kenneth Davison, who did not receive injuries.Smith was transported to YRMC West where he was treated for minor injuries.Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision and Smith was processed for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
