PHOENIX - A fourth police officer shot by a parolee in Oakland, California has died.

3TV has learned he had ties to Arizona. Officer John Hege, a graduate of The Orme School north of Phoenix has been taken off of life support.

He was declared brain dead after he and four other officers were gunned down by a man wanted on a parole violation but was alive until his organs could be harvested for donation.

Flags at Orme are being flown at half-staff this week in honor of Officer Hege.
