ORIGINAL REPORT:

SUN CITY - Police are looking for a man who attempted to kidnap a 61-year-old woman in the front yard of her Sun City home.

The attempt happened Saturday as she was doing yard work. Investigators say a stranger assaulted her and threw her in his car.

But the victim fought back. The victim's son tells 3TV, "Yes well my mother is a stern woman. So as he began hitting her apparently she didn't lose consciousness. She was yelling and started praying out loud. I'm assuming that the praying kind of frustrated the guy."

Seven blocks down the road the suspect let the victim get out of the car and sped off.

A $15,000 reward is being offered for any information on the attacker.
