MESA -- It's Election Day for many people across the Valley.

Folks in Mesa will vote whether developers should keep some $51 million in hotel bed tax incentives to promote two proposed resorts, one in southeast Mesa and the other in the Mesa Gateway area.

Voters in Gilbert will be picking a mayor and the race is expected to be a close one. Six candidates are running for the position.

If no candidate gets more than 50 percent of the votes, there will be a runoff between the two top vote-getters.

Folks in Apache Junction are also heading to the polls to pick a new mayor

Three candidates are on the ballot, including Mayor John Insalaco, City Councilman David Waldron and resident Noel Benoist.
