Mesa plane crash survivors say 'Thank You' in videoPosted: Updated:
MESA - Their story captured world-wide attention and now they are offering a world of thanks.
Christian Nielson says, "I've been overwhelmed to see the whole world respond to this accident and rush to our aid. I think that one person's tragedy truly brings out the best in others and you are the best."
That is just part of what Nielson says in a YouTube thank you video posted by him. Christian and his wife, Stephanie, survived a plane crash in northeastern Arizona in August.
The Mesa couple suffered serious burns and Stephanie is still in the hospital recovering.
Her web blog attracted international attention so Christian, who is now out of the hospital, decided to post words of thanks for the many prayers and support.
In August, the Nielsens survived a plane crash that went down shortly after take off near St. Johns, Arizona.
The pilot and flight instructor Doug Kinneard died in the serious crash.
Christian sustained burns on over 30% of his body, while Stephanie suffered burns on 80% of her body.
Christian has since left the hospital. Stephanie remains in the hospital and has continued to blog.
