PHOENIX -- Some hand sanitizers are coming under fire for being a possible health hazard.
A recent Food and Drug Administration inspection found high levels of disease causing bacteria in Clarcon products.
The Utah-based company issued a voluntary recall as a precautionary measure.
Clarcon products are sold under several brand names.
If you have any of these, you should throw them away: Citrushield Lotion, Dermassentials, DermaBarrier Dermassentials by Clarcon, Antimicrobial Hand Sanitizer,and Iron Fist Barrier Hand Treatment.
The FDA discovered these products had high levels of various bacteria, including some associated with unsanitary conditions.
