SURPRISE - Former Dallas County Sheriff Brian Gilbert is scheduled to be in court next week to face harassment charges.

Gilbert, who was found guilty of stealing $120,000 seized during a 2006 traffic stop, allegedly threatened to shoot his ex-wife, Tina Gilbert, and one of her friends, Kris Johnson. He's charged

with first-degree harassment and third-degree harassment. A criminal complaint was filed in June.

According to court documents, he allegedly made the threats in a phone call to his ex-wife's mother.

Gilbert, who lives Surprise, Ariz., turned himself in at the Dallas County jail on Sunday. A judge set bond at $2,000 and a court hearing for Dec. 31. Jail officials say Gilbert posted bond

and was released.
