Scottsdale trolley, SUV roll over in four-vehicle collisionPosted: Updated:
SCOTTSDALE - The Scottsdale police and fire Departments are on scene of a collision involving a trolley and three vehicles near Hayden and McDowell roads.
According to police, a city trolley in the wreck came to rest on its side. An SUV landed on its roof.
The two other cars involved were sitting at the intersection and sustained damage from flying debris.
"The trolley was occupied by the driver and is not believed to have any passengers on board," said Officer Dave Pubins. The drivers of the trolley and the SUV both are being treated by medical personnel.
One person was seriously injured and three were transported to the hospital.
Scottsdale police said no injuries appear to be life-threatening.
A witness at the scene said the SUV blew through a red light before slamming into the trolley.
Hayden and Roosevelt roads will be closed in all four directions while the investigation continues.
