Girl runs up to gas station clerk, says she had been kidnapped

CHANDLER -- Police in Chandler say they are investigating a possible kidnapping assault that came to an end at a car wash and gas station.

Police were on the scene at Priest Drive and Ray Road at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to a female clerk at the gas station, two men in a Tahoe pulled up to a pump and paid for $10 worth of gas.

That clerk told 3TV that the victim jumped out the vehicle and told her that she had been sexually assaulted several times throughout the night.

The clerk said she took the woman to the bathroom and called 911.

The men in the Tahoe then fled the scene with the woman's wallet, cell phone and money.

According to the clerk, the woman was upset because the men were supposed to take her to work Thursday morning. The clerk said there were indications that the woman knew the suspects.

Police say the victim was picked up in the area of 3900 W. Calle Segunda in Chandler.

A security video shows a person of interest. He is described as an Hispanic male about 5 feet 2 inches tall. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts, black-and-red sandals with black socks and a black cap with a red letter "C" on the front. The video also shows a newer-model Chevrolet Tahoe with no window tint.
