Suspect wearing brimmed hat robs Glendale bank

GLENDALE -- The Glendale Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a suspect who robbed a Chase bank last week.

According to Detective Tara Simonson, the male suspect entered the Chase bank at 95th Avenue and Camelback Road just before 4 p.m. on Thursday.

The suspect presented a note requesting money then verbally demanded money from the teller. He said he had a weapon but did not display one.

The suspect fled the bank on foot after getting the money.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 40s, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 250 pounds. The man is either bald or has very short hair.
