PEORIA -- A Peoria man was injured after he fell while zip-lining in Prescott Saturday evening.
Witnesses told police that Gregory Loper, 45, fell approximately 40 feet after attempting to navigate a zip line at Camp Yavapines.
According to the Prescott Police Department, Loper was staying with family at an RV park on property when he unlawfully entered into a fenced restricted area.
Loper scaled a platform to a zip-line that was under construction and not operational at the time.
Police say Loper used a homemade pulley device as a handle and attempted to ride the zip-line. He was able to go a short distance before falling approximately 30 to 40 feet to the ground.
Loper suffered serious injuries and was flown to John C. Lincoln North Hospital for treatment.
