TEMPE -- A taxi driver is recovering after getting into a wreck with a Valley Metro Light Rail train.

It happened at about 7:00 Sunday evening near Price Road and Apache Boulevard.
According to Tempe police, the cab driver made an illegal U-turn and slammed into the train. There were a no U-turn sign posted.
While nobody on the train was hurt, the cab driver was injured. He is expected to recover.
Service was delayed for a short time while passengers were transferred to another train.
This is the 28th wreck involving the Light Rail since it launched service in December.
