High school put on lockdown after Tempe bank robberyPosted: Updated:
TEMPE - A Valley high school was briefly put on lockdown due to a bank robbery.
Tempe police tell 3TV a bank robbery took place at a Wells Fargo located at 64 E. Broadway in Tempe just after 2 p.m. on Thursday.
Tempe High School was put on lockdown for a short time after police say the bank robbery suspects fled the scene. The school has since re-opened and there is no further information on the suspects or their whereabouts at this time.
Police also tell 3TV there was another bank robbery at 44th Street and Thomas at about noon but authorities do not yet know if the two robberies are related.
