GLENDALE -- Glendale police say two men are in critical condition after one car sideswiped another, which then hit a city bus head-on Monday morning.

Glendale police say one blue Honda was traveling eastbound on Peoria Avenue near 52nd Avenue about 11 a.m. and another blue Honda was traveling westbound.

Glendale Police Department spokesman Matt Barnett said the eastbound Honda crossed the center lane and went into the middle lane of the westbound traffic. It sideswiped the other car, which then hit a public transit bus that was traveling westbound.

Barnett said there was one person in each car. The two adult males were transported to Valley hospitals in critical condition.

No one on the bus was injured.
