Police looking for hit-and-run suspectPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A hit-and-run wreck shut down the off ramp at Interstate 10 and 67th Avenue for a time overnight.
Police said the driver of white pickup truck was getting off the freeway when he tried to make a left turn and was T-boned by another pickup heading south on 67th Avenue.
The suspect took off on foot and was last scene running east on Garfield Street.
Officers found weapons and ammunition inside the suspect's vehicle.
The victim, a 27-year-old male, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. His injuries reportedly were not life threatening.
Police have not caught the person who hit him.
The freeway ramped was opened later in the morning.
