Yesterday Border Czar Alan Bersin toured the U.S.-Mexico border.
He and other top border officials will sit down with Attorney General Terry Goddard to discuss the violence along the border.
Goddard said the federal government needs to take action and focus on anti violence border strategies.
"It's about time there's been a very fractured federal effort for many years," he said. "This is too serious not to have a coordinated response to cartels. Organized crime is all about money they don't do it because they love it.They don't do it because it gives them job satisfaction, they do it because it's very very profitable and that's what we've got to focus on."
Bersin and Goddard will discuss techniques to stop money flowing across the border to Mexican drug cartels.
