SELIGMAN, Ariz. -- A small airplane crashed on a northeastern Arizona highway Friday morning.

According to the Bureau of Indian Affairs, pilot James Ivy was traveling from Seligman, Ariz., to Taos, N.M., when his plane lost oil pressure. Ivy safely made an emergency landing on State Route 264 on the Hopi Reservation.
After making minor adjustments to the plane, Ivy took off again. However, the plane lost power, clipped a patrol car that was on scene and crashed.
The plane was heavily damaged, but Ivy was not injured in the crash.
No one else was injured.
