UPDATE at 4:00 p.m. - Power has been restored to those in the Red Rock ares. APS reports the power is stablized.

PICACHO - About 265 customers are without power in southern Arizona in the Red Rock Village area.
A cooling station has been set up at Picacho Elementary School at 17865 South Vail Road in the multi-purpose room.
APS is working to restore the power which is expected to be back on by late afternoon.
Pet owners should leave their pets at home if it is safe to do so. If shelter for animals is required, please do not take the animals to the cooling center before calling 520-509-3555 or 888-431-1311 in advance. Animal Control will assist as necessary to protect the health and safety of household pets, but advance notice is essential.
Picacho is located off the I-10 south of Casa Grande.
