Possible drug deal gone bad ends in shootingPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- One person was wounded in a shooting after what might have been a drug deal went bad Wednesday morning.
It happened at about 8:30 a.m. at a Circle K at 67th Avenue and McDowell Road.
Dispatch for the Phoenix Fire Department confirmed that one victim was transported to the hospital. That person had been shot in the leg.
Police believe that it all started at a different location and ended at the Circle K.
Video from NewsChopper showed several officers in the store's parking lot. The store was closed while police conducted their investigation.
A white van with California license plates is believed to have been involved in the incident.
Police said it's possible that shooting stemmed from a drug deal gone bad.
