PHOENIX -- Arizona Department of Public Safety Needs the Public's Help in locating Hit and Run Vehicle
Dark sports car involved in a collision with a motorcyclist late Wednesday
On January 14, 2009 at approximately 11:45 p.m. DPS Officers investigated a two vehicle hit and run collision that occurred on Interstate 10 at the 48th Street exit. A black or dark colored sports car, possibly a Volvo was involved in a collision with a motorcyclist. The dark colored sports car sustained damage on the left/driver side. The vehicle fled the scene. Several eyewitnesses saw the sports car exit the 48th street off ramp heading in an unknown direction.
There was physical evidence from the run vehicle found at the scene of the collision.
The motorcyclist remains in extremely critical condition. DPS is asking the public's help in locating and identifying the run vehicle and the driver of the vehicle.
