Tucson suspect's footprints lead to stolen goodsPosted: Updated:
TUCSON -- Arizona authorities found a John Deere tractor, a utility trailer, 15 rifles and money that had been stolen from the Tucson Rifle Club by following the suspect's footprints.
The U.S. Border Patrol's Tucson Sector said Thursday that its agents and deputies with the Pima County Sheriff's Office responded to the rifle club after the theft Wednesday morning.
Shortly after arriving, the agents spotted footprints leading away from the rifle club, and followed them to the stolen trailer.
About 200 yards away, agents found the tractor hidden in brush.
Agents found more footprints near the tractor and followed them to a mobile home. The shoes of the man inside matched the footprints that agents tracked.
The man was arrested, and the stolen items were recovered.
