Posted: Updated:

MARICOPA - The following is a press release from the Maricopa Police Department:

At the end of January 2009, the Maricopa Police Department identified an unusual set of residential burglaries occurring in the area of the Meadows and Altera communities in the City of Maricopa. The suspects would break a hole in the exterior wall of a residence to make entry, then burglarize the home taking jewelry, electronics and video gaming stations. Over the next six weeks, five other burglaries occurred under the same circumstances and Department members work feverously to investigate the crimes and develop leads.

On March 24, 2009 a break in the investigation lead to the identification of at least five suspects involved in these burglaries. Three of the suspects, identified as Isaac C. Solis (19), Peter V. Rizzo (18) and Alvin Bustamante (18) all from the City of Maricopa, were taken into custody. Bustamante has been identified as "suspect #2" in the police composites released last week. The two other suspects, identified as Shadryck L. Brown (19) of Maricopa and Arnold M. Valenzuela-Lozano Jr. (19) of Guadalupe, are currently wanted for their involvements with these crimes. Police have probable cause to link Brown as "suspect #1" in the police composite drawings released last week.

These arrests and the ongoing investigation are a culmination of weeks of investigations involving every section of the Maricopa Police Department. Information was collected from traffic stops, crime scenes, crime analysis and countless hours of investigations and interviews. The Department was able to use all of these pieces and pull it together to make the arrests.

We are actively seeking the two outstanding suspects and request the public's assistance in bringing these remaining criminals to justice.

We empathize with the victims that have suffered any loss in these crimes and we will continue to work to locate and identify stolen property.
