Motorcyclist killed in early morning wreck on I-10Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Investigators are looking into a deadly motorcycle wreck on Interstate 10 this morning.
It happened at about 12:30 a.m. near the mini-stack.
The rider apparently lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the driver was the only person on the bike.
Investigators are trying to determine if the driver took a curve in the freeway too fast.
"Any time there's a curve in the highway or any roadway, it does pose certain challenges that anybody operating a vehicle, especially a motorcycle, has to overcome," said DPS Sgt. Thomas Simon.
DPS said there were no witnesses to the wreck. The do not know at this point if another vehicle was involved.
It's not clear yet if alcohol was a factor in the wreck.
