Suspects plow car into one home, break into secondPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Two men are in custody after an apparent home invasion that began when a vehicle slammed into a home.
It happened just after 3 a.m. in the area of 72nd Avenue and Camelback Road.
Nobody was injured when the car slammed into the home, but the two people in the vehicle took off on foot.
Those suspects then tried to break into another home in the neighborhood. That homeowner grabbed a gun and opened fire.
The two men took off again. Police quickly caught one of them. Officers set up a perimeter and nabbed the other one a short time later.
The people who live in the first home were not aware that there was actually a Pontiac in their living room when they first called the police to report a prowler.
The suspects have been identified as Rocky Torres Jr. and Seve Antonio Watson.
Both suspects were booked for leaving the scene of an accident and burglary of a residential structure.
