Arizona Fall League to host Tillman Foundation Benefit NightPosted: Updated:
SCOTTSDALE -- The Arizona Fall League will host its second annual Pat Tillman Foundation Benefit Night on Saturday at Scottsdale Stadium for the game between the Scottsdale Scorpions and the Surprise Rafters.
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Eric Byrnes be there, alongside Orlando Hudson and Hall of Famer Frank Robinson.
The evening will include a a sports memorabilia auction before and during the game.
Tillman is a former Arizona State and Arizona Cardinals star who quit the NFL to join the Army Rangers.
He was killed by friendly fire in April 2004 in Afghanistan.
Byrnes played high-school football against Tillman in the San Francisco Bay Area.
He will be recognized for his fund-raising efforts as a member of Team Tillman-Professional during pre-game ceremonies that also will include the introduction of Tillman Scholars.
