Man accused of molesting teen step-daughter
RIMROCK, Ariz. -- A Rimrock man was arrested for sexually abusing a 14-year-old relative.
The teen told Yavapai County Sheriff's Office deputies that on April 11, Craig Johnson, 37, came into her bedroom and fondled her breast while lying next to her in bed.
According to sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn, the girl told deputies she got out of bed and asked Johnson to leave her room.
The teen said she told a relative about the incident a week later.
D'Evelyn said the teen also told about inappropriate hugging and touching over a long period of time.
The victim's mother and relatives who live at the home related concerns about Johnson's unusual interest in the victim.
At least one family member recalled seeing Johnson enter the victim's bedroom on the date of the incident.
Johnson was charged with sexual abuse involving a child under 15 years old and child abuse. Johnson is being held without bond.
His next court date is scheduled for Thursday.
