Mesa woman vanishes after argument with family - Police are looking for a Mesa woman who has not been seen since getting into a heated argument with her family.
Rosario Osoreo Pe±a left the home near 10th Avenue and Country Club Drive at about 5:30 Wednesday evening after arguing with her family over her desire to return to Mexico.
According to Gloria Gonzales, Pe±a's granddaughter, it's not uncommon for Pe±a to go for a walk, but she always takes the same route and she always comes back.
"She just started walking down the sidewalk," Gonzales said. "My aunt started following her ... and in a heartbeat, she just disappeared."
Pe±a's family is very worried. The 66-year-old suffers from diabetes and a heart condition. She also has very poor eyesight.
Police said the family spent hours scouring the area for her, going door to door and talking to neighbors.
"Nobody has seen here," Gonzales said.
Rosario walks with a cane and was last seen wearing a blue-and-white checkered shirt and blue pants. She's 5 feet tall, weighs 110 pounds, and has salt-and-pepper hair.
While Pe±a speaks only Spanish, her family says she is very social and would not hesitate to try to ask for help.
If you've seen Pe±a, please call the Mesa Police Department.
