Confessed accomplice talks about serial shootingsPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Two men accused in a series of random shootings in the Phoenix area were in a courtroom together Friday for the first time in more than a year.
This time, however, Samuel Dieteman was working with prosecutors, telling a judge that he would take turns attacking people with Dale Hausner in the summer of 2006.
Dieteman also spoke about shootings that he says Hausner and Hausner's brother told him about but that he didn't witness himself.
Prosecutors hope to use Dieteman's testimony during Dale Hausner's Sept. 3 murder trial. Hausner is scheduled to go on trial for seven of eight murder counts against him.
Dieteman has pleaded guilty to two murder charges in the case.
