Boldin, Dockett sit out camp with "injuries"Posted: Updated:
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Wide receiver Anquan Boldin and defensive tackle Darnell Dockett showed up for the Arizona Cardinals minicamp but begged off of workouts because of "injuries."
Coach Ken Whisenhunt says both players are upset with their contract status, and both said they had injured hamstrings.
He says the men showed up to minicamp and reported injuries coaches weren't aware of.
Whisenhunt says the two were sent for MRIs as part of team protocol, but that coaches know what's going on "so I'm really not going to have much to say about that."
Two other players with unsettled contract issues -- linebacker Karlos Dansby and safety Adrian Wilson -- participated in Friday's first workout.
Boldin and Dockett were on the field for the second workout but did not practice. Afterward, Boldin was vague in his responses but said his stance had not changed since he asked to be traded nearly a year ago.
