The Mesa Police Department is seeking community assistance to locate a suspect who grabbed a fifteen-year-old girl as she was walking to school.

The incident happened on 3/3/09 at about 8:00 AM as the victim was headed to Mesa Jr. High. The victim noticed a white truck stop on the side of the roadway ahead of where she was walking. Just after she passed the truck, a male grabbed her from behind and began pulling her towards the truck.

A bicyclist in the area saw what was happening and ran to her assistance and pushed the suspect down while telling the girl to run away.

The suspect was last seen leaving east on Broadway in the white truck. The victim was able to provide enough detail for the completion of a composite.

The good Samaritan on the bicycle has also not been identified. Detectives are hoping to locate the bicyclist who may be able to provide additional information to locate the suspect.
