SURPRISE -- Surprise police officers are looking for a suspect who robbed a Safeway pharmacy Wednesday afternoon.
Man armed with knife robs pharmacist - The Surprise Police Dept. needs your help to find a man who allegedly robbed a Safeway pharmacy.
An employee at the store located in the 14500 block of NW Grand Avenue told police that a white male went up to the counter and demanded OxyContin pills.
The pharmacy employee said the suspect showed her a long bladed knife still in its sheath just under his shirt.
Sgt. Mark Ortega said the employee complied with his demands and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of the prescription narcotic.
The suspect had dark hair and was wearing a gray shirt and shorts.
