Suspect attacks Apache Junction woman in laundry roomPosted: Updated:
APACHE JUNCTION -- The following is a press release from the Apache Junction Police Department:
On March 5, 2009 at approximately 11:30 P.M. an unknown Male White subject assaulted a female in the laundry room located on the premises of 85 W. 20th Ave. Apache Junction. The male white subject pushed the victim to the ground, pinned her down while placing a sharp item (believed to a knife) to the right side of her neck. The victim cried for help while struggling with the offender, resisting the attack. The offender repeatedly told her to "shut up and be quiet." As the victim continued to struggle and cry out the offender subsequently released her and fled the area.
The offender is described as a male white, mid to late twenties, shaggy hair, scruffy face and a slight mustache. The offender also was described as having very strong body odor.

Captain Thomas E. Kelly further advises that no one should make an attempt to apprehend this subject as he should be considered dangerous.
