PHOENIX -- Authorities were called out to a suspected drop house near 91st Avenue and McDowell Road early Thursday morning.

Thirteen or fourteen people were in the house, said Officer Luis Samudio, a public information office for the Phoenix Police Department.

An undocumented immigrant reportedly led police to the home.

According to Samudio, that person managed to escape at about 5:30 a.m. and call 911 from a local gas station.

Some of the undocumented immigrants are from Honduras, Samudio said. The rest are from south Mexico.

Three of the people found are women. The rest are males. Samudio said that for the most part, everybody seems to be OK.

Samudio said police are still working to determine if any of those people at the house are coyotes.

"This is going to be the third house we've had in the last week or so, convcerning drop houses," Samudio said. "You never know where they're going to be. It could be in different parts of the city. Right now it's in the west part of the Valley."

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will be taking over the investigation.
