Suspect robs Chandler credit union, puts money in backpackPosted: Updated:
The following is a press release from the Chandler Police Department:
CHANDLER -- On January 7, 2009 at 1:20 P.M., Chandler Police responded to the Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, located in the Fry's grocery store at 2010 S. Alma School Road, for a report of a bank robbery. The suspect was described as a black male approximately six feet one inch tall, medium build, wearing a long sleeve hooded black sweatshirt, knee length blue jean shorts, black tennis shoes, black and gray striped dress hat and sunglasses. The suspect passed a note to a teller demanding cash. No weapon was displayed. The suspect left carrying the money in a black backpack.
