ICE received tip about drugs

TEMPE - More than $1 million worth of cocaine are off Valley streets thanks to a major drug bust.

The drugs were stashed inside a truck in south Tempe. ICE agents say they recently received a tip about a drug smuggling ring being run out of a home.

A search warrant turned up 75 pounds of cocaine. Investigators say it is just another day in the life of drug enforcement in Phoenix.

Matt Allen, an ICE special agent, explains, "The end goal is to make Phoenix and Arizona a safer place, and to the extent that we can take narcotics off the street, whether we can take firearms off the street and disrupt and dismantle the human infrastructure that supports those organizations, we want to do that at every opportunity."

Four illegal immigrants were arrested during the sting and will be deported to Mexico.
