Child ejected in 2 car collision in Mesa; lands under other car

MESA -- A four-year-old girl is recovering after being thrown from a car during a crash.

It all happened Friday afternoon near Higley and University in Mesa.

The girl was ejected from the vehicle she was riding in, landing in the road underneath a car as it stopped.

That car narrowly missed hitting the child.

The four year old girl was flown to Phoenix Children's Hospital.

She is in stable condition.

Mesa Fire Spokesman Mike Dunn says a total of seven people were involved in the accident and only two were transported to the hospital.

None were seriously injured.

No word on any charges in the collision.
