Police ask for help finding murder suspect, investigative leadPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Police are turning to the public to help find the suspect and an investigative lead in the March murder of a Valley man.
It happened in the early morning hours of March 14 during a party in the area of 89th Avenue and Fairmont Drive.
The victim, later identified as Christopher Smith, was attending the party and was in the street in front of the home when he was shot several times. The 20-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Det. James Holmes of the Phoenix Police Department, investigators determined that Antonio Reid, 20, was the shooter. They are saying that Brittany Lemons, 19, drive Reid away from the scene. Police are calling Lemons an investigative lead in the case.
Police are asking anybody who has information about the case or knows where Reid or Lemon might be to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. Callers may remain anonymous.
