GILBERT -- Investigators have busted a pot house in Gilbert, and they say they could not have done it without a tip from the neighbors.
People who live in the area of the home near Ray and Higley roads smelled something late last night that seemed like gas.
They called the fire department to check it out.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they discovered a house full of marijuana plants. They called the police.
Gilbert police said they found near 800 marijuana plants and approximately $100,000 in hardware and equipment that was seized. At full maturity, the plants have a nearly $2 million street value.
No arrestss have been made as the investigation into the case continues.
