A man has been arrested for allegedly committing an arson at a Valley business.

Richard Eugene Anderson was taken into custody and is accused of causing a fire at AllFab, a metal and fabricating business. About 20 employees have been out of work due to the blaze. Phoenix Fire confirms Anderson used to work at this business. Crews received the initial call at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, November 9. Crews responded to a two-alarm structure fire at the site just off of 40th Street and University.Anderson reportedly caused more than $2.5 million in loss to the business.

PHOENIX - A building that could possibly contain hazardous materials is on fire at 40th Street, just south of University.

The two-alarm fire broke out after 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at a metal fabricating building that may contain hazardous materials and possibly propane tanks. Firefighting units were dispatched from Phoenix, Tempe, and Chandler.

Phoenix Fire tells 3TV the building was showing signs of collapse and crews battled the blaze defensively.
