PHOENIX - Police are investigating a possible case of child abuse involving a 2-month-old boy.
Investigators are currently conducting interviews with everyone who has recently had contact with the infant who is in serious condition.
Monday evening officers responded to a Valley hospital responding to a call of a child who was in critical condition. Police tell 3TV the child's parents noticed something was wrong with their son and took him to the hospital.
Child Crime detectives were called and took over the investigation. Although police say the baby is in critical condition, no further details on his injuries were provided.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, investigators have not been able to conclusively determine if the infant's injuries are a result of child abuse.
No arrests have been made and police have not identified a suspect.
