Harden leads the way as 20th-ranked Sun Devils rout Oregon StatePosted: Updated:
TEMPE -- James Harden and a smothering defense was all Arizona State needed to beat Oregon State.
James Harden scored 22 points as the 20th-ranked Sun Devils routed the Beavers 69-38 last night in a Pac-10 game.
Oregon State's 38 points are the fewest ASU has allowed against a conference opponent in 31 years as a Pac-10 member.
The win pushed the Sun Devils' record to 13-2 overall and 2-1 in league play.
Harden was 10-of-11 shots from the field, his only miss coming from beyond the arc.
Rihards Kuksiks added 13 points for ASU, which has won nine of its last 10.
Oregon State fell to 6-7 overall and 1-2 in the Pac-10.
The Beavers were baffled by ASU's matchup zone, shooting a season-low 36 percent from the field.
